Using ready made jerky makes cooking easy and also it makes jerky safer. I used Trader Joe’s Salmon Jerky for this risotto but you can use chicken jerky, turkey jerky for dogs. Just make sure that you are buying jerky from trustful manufactures (not Chinese).

Ingredients
  • 1/3cup Short-grain Wild RicePreferably 30% Semi-refined. Soak the rice 8-10 hours before using.
  • 2cup Clean waterDrain the soaking water before adding this clean water
  • 2Tbsp Green Peas
  • 2Tbsp Carrotfinely chopped carrot
  • 15g Salmon Jerkyor other jerky
  • 2tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 50g Steam-baked Organic Chicken Breast
Instructions
Preperation
  1. Soak rice in plenty of water overnight
  2. Steam-bake Chicken Breast. Once it’s done, pull the meat into smaller strips.
Cooking
  1. Place all ingredients except chicken in a 1 quart pan, and cook until it boils.
  2. Keep the lid on, let the rice sit on the stove for 20 min. Boil again and then let it sit for 20 min. Repeat this 2-3 times until the water is almost absorbed in the ingredients.
  3. Let it cool down to the body temperature. Add shredded chicken in the risotto.
